PEARLEY LELAND LIBBEY Pearley L. Libbey, 58, died Thursday at Calais. He was born in Bangor Oct. 13, 1899, the son of Pearley and Ethel Orr Libbey. For several years he was customs inspector at Calais. He was a past commander of Sherman Brothers Post, American Legion, he was also a member of all Masonic Lodges in York Rites, Anah Temple Mystic Shrine of Bangor and a member of the First Baptist Church of Dexter. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Lillian Dearborn of Corinna, three sons Galen C. of Lincoln; Lincoln Libbey of Durarte, Calif., and David A. of Calais; two sisters, Mrs. Newell Fern and Miss Madeline Libbey, both of Dexter; several grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at his residence in Calais Sunday with the Rev. Paul Hazlett, pastor of the Second Baptist Church, officiating. The remains were taken to Corinna, Monday when services were conducted at the Farnham Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter Wakeman, pastor of the First Baptist, Church, Dexter, and the Morse's Corner Baptist Church, speaking.
