JOSEPH LEVI DYER Joseph "Levi" Dyer, died after a long illness at his home 20 Burrill st., Fairfield, early Sunday morning, Feb. 9. He was born in Dexter on Nov. 7, 1889, the oldest son of Levi and Melvina (Boulette) Dyer. He was educated in the public schools in Dexter, moving to Fairfield in 1919. He was employed at the Wyandotte Worsted Mill for 36 years, retiring in 1954. He was a communicant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. He is survived by his wife Irene (Sheerin) Dyer; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard Labbe, Fairfield; a brother Fred J. Dyer, Fairfield; five sisters, Mrs. Annie Sullivan, Fairfield, Mrs. Vina Crawford, Portsmouth, R. I., Mrs. Marion Gagnon, Benton Station, Mrs. Eva Bell, Mrs. Pauline Atwater, Dexter; three grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. The funeral service was held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Wednesday with a Requiem High Mass by the Rev. Harold Moreshead. The bearers were Richard Dyer, Robert Dyer, Gerald Gagnon, Ronald Gagnon, Francis Gagnon, Edward Bell. The body was placed in the tomb in Dexter to await burial in the spring in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Among those from out of town attending the service were Mr. and Mrs. James Bell, Edward Bell, Mrs. Hugh Atwater, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nichols and Mrs. Cecile Doyon of Dexter.
