Obituary	CHARLES E. THOMAS Funeral services were held this afternoon, Thursday, at the Garland Community Church for Charles E. Thomas, 71, who died Tuesday morning at his home in Garland following a period of failing health. Frederick Marsh of Corinna officiated, and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. He was born May 15, 1886, at Woodland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Thomas. Husband of the late Edith (Fields) Thomas, he had been a resident of the Garland-Dexter area for 37 years and had been engaged in farming. He was a member of Garland Grange. He is survived by a son Robert of Garland; six grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
