Services Sat. For Mrs. Susan E. Hale Mrs. Susan E. Hale 77, widow of Harry E. Hale, died Wednesday evening at her home on Free st. in Dexter after a long period of failing health. Funeral services will be held at the Crosby Funeral Home Saturday at 2 p. m. with the Rev. Richard J. Norsworthy of the Universalist Church officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Born in Portland, Dec. 19, 1890, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hayes, Mrs. Hale was a graduate of Deering High School and Portland Teachers' Training School. She taught for a few years in a Deering school. A member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter, she was also a member and past president of the Universalist Ladies' Aid and the Dexter Woman's Literary Club. She was also a member of the U. F. Club and a former member of Rebecca Weston Chapter, D. A. R. Mrs. Hale had been a resident of Dexter for nearly 50 years. She is survived by a son, Frederic of Dexter, and a daughter, Mrs. Charles Milone of Chillicothe, O., and two grandchildren.
