Obituary
Wilma J. (Sinclair) Wintle, 85, of Dexter, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025, with her family by her side. She was born on January 16, 1940, a daughter of Vernal T. and Phyllis (Deering) Sinclair. Wilma worked at Dexter Shoe for over 40 years, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Wilma was a member of the Central Maine Country Music Association. Outside of work, she found joy in gathering at Community Jams with good friends and family, tending to her flower garden, and cooking meals for her family and friends. More than anything, she cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved dogs, Bruno and Soloman, who predeceased her and whom she spoke of often with love and fond memories. Wilma is survived by her daughter Michelle and her husband Otis “Mac” McMillan of St. Albans; her daughter Lisa Wintle and her partner Susan Wright of Wells; her son David Wintle of Dexter; her sisters Bonnie Smart of Hartland and Beverly Erving of St. Albans; her brother Gary Sinclair and his wife Holly Sinclair; and her sister-in-law Peggy Sinclair. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Roger William Wintle; her parents, Vernal T. and Phyllis (Deering) Sinclair; her brother, Vernal T. Sinclair; her sister-in-law, Jerice Sinclair; and her brother, Ronald Sinclair. We will forever cherish the memories we made with her, the laughter, the tears, and the love that bound us together. A graveside service will be held in Fern-Dale Cemetery, 33 Railroad Ave, Ripley, on May 30th at 1 Pm.
