Obituary	DEXTER - With immense sorrow the family of Carla Jean Curtis, 79, announces her passing on April 12, 2025 with her sister by her side at Dexter Health Care. Carla was born on April 13, 1945 in Lowell, ME. Daughter of the late Lyman and Verna Woodbury Curtis. Carla was predeceased by 2 sisters, Racheal Curtis and Grace Curtis Giles, sister in law, Patricia Pearl Curtis. She is survived by 2 sisters, Rhoda White and partner Denise Dinsmore of Dexter ME, Jacqueline Shorette of Benton, ME; 4 brothers, Rev. Lyman Curtis Jr of Dexter ME, Raymond and wife Bonnie Curtis of Dexter ME, James Curtis of Lincoln, ME, Rev. David Curtis and wife, Deborah of Fredrickson, NB, Canada. Carla's homecare provider Cindy Trundy who care for her for 8 years; long time friend and boyfriend, Dale Suthers; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews. She loves to go shopping and out to eat and go to church on Sundays. Carla attended school at the Little Red Schoolhouse as a young girl, than attended the Jellison Workshop in Dover-Foxcroft, ME. She went to the day program at the Charlotte White Center in Dover-Foxcroft where she met her friend Amy Doore. She went to the day program at Living Innovations for many where she made many friends. As a young girl she attended church with er family at the Full Gospel Mission The Apostolic Faith Tabernacle, Milo Pentecostal Church and Dexter Pentecostal Church. Up until last year she attended Harbor Light Church in Rockland, ME. Our family would like to thank Northern Light Hospice and Dexter Health Care for the excellent care of Carla Curtis. A graveside service will be held at Corinna Center Road, Cemetery in Corinna on July 12, 2025 at noon with a celebration of Carla's life will immediately follow.
