Obituary	Dexter, Maine - Clayton E. Royal, 89, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025. Born in Milo on May 24, 1935, to Carroll E. and Viola M. (Drinkwater) Royal, he made his home in Dexter, surrounded by the people and places he loved most. Clayton was one of 13 siblings and is survived by his sister, Carolyn Young. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, animals, country music, and the company of his family and friends. A hardworking man, he dedicated over 40 years to Dexter Shoe before retiring. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda; and his daughter, Patty. He is survived by his children, Lisa St. Pierre, Lori Jackson, Jeff Royal, and Gianna Blanchard; and by his many grandchildren, including a special bond shared with Hayleigh, who spent time caring for him while he was in Portland during the last few years of his life. He also leaves behind cherished friends, Sheila and Michelle, along with many extended family members. There will be no services.
