Obituary	MRS. GEORGE F. LEIGHTON Mrs. Myrtie Leighton, 77, widow of George F. Leighton died Wednesday evening at the Cushman Convalescent Home after a long illness. She was born in Dexter April 17, 1880, daughter of David and Elizabeth Rand Merryman, and had always lived here. Her husband, George, died in 1950. In 1949 she retired because of failing health from her position at the Fayscott Corporation where she started work as secretary to the late W. L. Fay when the concern was known as the Fay & Scott Machine Shop. She was a member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter. There are no near relatives surviving. Funeral services will be held tomorrow (Friday) at 2 p. m. at the Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard E. Benson of the Methodist Church officiating in the absence of the Universalist minister. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
