Obituary	Exeter - Kenneth Elmer Matteson Jr., 68, passed away January 14, 2025, at Dexter Health Care. He was born May 5, 1956, in Dexter, Maine, the son of Kenneth and Vivian (Thompson) Matteson. Kenneth graduated from Dexter Regional High School, class of 1977. After graduation he worked for years at the Hartland Tannery and cutting wood. Kenneth loved spending time with family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed raising his pet goats and honey bees. Kenneth was predeceased by his father; his sister, Daphne Hillary Matteson; aunts, Barbara Bessette, Sandra Carpenter, Hildreth Methuin-Risploi, Marion Bennett, and Jeanette Black; uncle, Clyde Thompson, Earnest Thompson, and Roger Thompson; uncle, Lewis Matteson; uncle, Jean Matteson; foster brother, Kevin Ogden; and grandparents, Summer Thompson, Anne Getchell Thompson, C. E. Matteson, E. May Matteson. He is survived by his mother; brother, Scott and his wife, Cathy Matteson; aunt, Irlene Rider; foster sister, Brenda Tunks; nieces, Hillary Matteson and Mindy McLain; and foster niece, Jamie Ogden. There will be a graveside service this spring at the family plot in Chamberlain Cemetery in Exeter.
