Obituary
Dexter and Brewer - Joan L. (Eaton) Peters, 86, was born February 28, 1938, and passed away on December 25, 2024, with her daughter, Brenda, by her side. She was the daughter of John Earl Eaton and Celia Ruth Norton. Joan was born in Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in 1956. Joan moved to Dexter in 1958. Joan worked at several places starting at: Fayscott Company in the early 1960s, then going to work at Dexter Shoe company, and finally retiring from Reny's Department Store in Dexter in 2010. Joan was very active in her life. She loved bowling, and was on several leagues and won many trophies and state championships in her days. She loved dancing and going to the dances and jam sessions so she could listen to all her favorite songs, singers, and bands. Joan also had a love for bingo, playing every Friday night in Dexter with her friends. She just loved to get out and socialize and be with her friends or family. Joan was predeceased by her parents; and a nephew. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Brenda Trice and husband, Joe, of Hampden, and his son, Tyler Trice of Bucksport, and daughter, Carmen Irish and companion, Scott Thornley of Dexter, 2 grandsons Kyle Irish and wife, Alicia, of Dexter, and Cody Irish and wife, Tricia, of Dexter. She is also survived by her 2 sisters, Linda Dulac and husband, Stan, of Ripley, and Deborah Bianchi and husband, Danny, of South Yarmouth, Massachusetts; and 1 cousin, Mary-Ellen Lindsay of Ohio. She also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren, Michael, her pumpkin, Mylah and Diadem; 2 stepgreat-grandchildren, Lexie and Autumn; as well as many special nieces and nephews, and so many great friends that there are too many to mention them all. She will always cherish their love and friendship. Joan was loved by so many, and her spirit and love of life will live on in her family and friends and she will be deeply missed by all. Per Joan's request, there will only be a graveside burial service held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter, in the spring of 2025. "Don't weep for me, For I've made it home. Through heavens gates, There I may roam. Wipe your tears and dry your eyes. I'm in a better place, With Heaven as my prize. Don't weep for me, No tears and no sorrow. Live life for Jesus, He promises tomorrow." To send flowers to the family of Joan Loretta (Eaton) Peters, please visit Tribute Store. Published on December 31, 2024
