Obituary	EXETER - Douglas W. Gauthier Sr., 65, passed in his home on August 26, 2024, surrounded by his family, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Douglas was born June 15, 1959 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, son of Robert and Althea Gauthier. He was raised in Exeter, Maine and graduated from Dexter Regional High School belonging to the class of 1977. He started his career at Al Worcester and Sons Datsun Dealership in Corinth, Maine. He continued his extensive automotive career as a Master Automotive Technician then became an Automotive Instructor at Tri-CountyTechnical Center in Dexter, Maine. After 20 years of teaching he proceeded onto having his own independent automotive facility. Douglas had a strong passion and love for automobiles, motorcycling, ATVing, snowmobiling and being surrounded by his family and friends. He also was a lifelong member of the Olive Branch Lodge number 14, Douglas was a husband, father, brother, son and a beloved best friend to many and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife Debbie, and his son Douglas Gauthier, Jr. his four stepsons, Sean & Casey Sawyer, Elijah & Noah Gudroe, and their wives. Seven grandchildren whom he adored. His three brothers, Robert (Wife Earla), Richard and Gary (wife Cindy). Many nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.He was predeceased by his parents. A graveside service will be held September 28 at 1PM at Corinthian Cemetary 20 Notch Rd., Corinth, ME. 04428. Celebration of life to follow at Garland Town Office 108 Corinth Rd., Garland, ME.
