Jean also had many friends, relatives and neighbors that she absolutely adored that she left behind. It goes without saying that she was such a happy go lucky woman and touched many, many lives with her carefree, smiling attitude. SHE WILL BE SO MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW AND LOVED HER. Jean was a longtime employee of SAS Shoemakers (SanAntonio Shoe) in Pittsfield, Maine and worked at Dexter Shoe for a period of time. She was so proud to be a shoemaker and loved her job as well as her coworkers. Our Mom was a feisty soul, who would have things her way. You weren't telling her what to do and she lived her life to the fullest doing it her way! Though she was native to Massachusetts, she loved Maine, and it became her home, there was no other place to live, it was "The way life should be. Our Mom loved life and people. She would do anything to help anyone. She loved to sing and dance and forever instilled in all her children and grandchildren the gift that music provided and taught us to love unconditionally. The music she taught us will forever flood our hearts with a lifetime of memories of her to enjoy for the rest of our days. We know you are now dancing in heaven, surrounded by love and light. Our Mom loved to cook and bake, she passed that along to each of her children and we have passed that along to our children. She also loved to crochet and prior to her passing had spend hours upon hours making almost every one of her children and grandchildren blankets with her skill as well as friends. She enjoyed watching old shows from her time growing up on Me Tv while doing it. Mom played the Megabucks until she was no longer able to drive and always used to say, "If I could just win the Megabucks, just once." "Well...we are all in agreement, she kind of did win the "Megabuck" in the form of LOVE from all the people who knew her. Our Mom loved her cat, Rosie! She would say, "Rosie gives me a kiss in the morning, and I tell her, Thank you for the kisses, Rosie." She just loved animals and would daily feed the Squirrels, Chipmunks and Blue Jays that visited her stoop every day for the treats she provided. Jean will be interned at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Bryant Road in Dexter, Maine. A graveside service commemorating her life will be held at the Cemetery at 11:00AM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 and a Celebration of Life will follow at The American Legion at 10 Church Street, Dexter, Maine.
