Obituary	Dexter - Stephen "Steve" Clukey, a beloved member of the Dexter community, passed away on May 26, 2024, after a short illness. Born on September 23, 1948, in Dexter, Maine, Steve lived a life full of love, generosity, and dedication to his family and friends. Steve graduated from Dexter Regional High School in 1967 and went on to earn his degree from Western New England College in 1971. He cherished the summers spent at the lake with his family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Known for his willingness to lend a helping hand, Steve took pride in being the family caretaker, managing various properties with dedication and care. His selflessness and commitment to helping others left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him. Steve is survived by his son, Brian Clukey of Sheldon, VT; his sisters, Dorothy Starzyk of Dexter, Elaine Kitrosser of San Jose, CA, and Laurel Curtis of Dexter; and his brothers, Carlton Clukey of Brewer, and Donald Clukey of Dexter. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. A memorial service to celebrate Steve's life will be held at a later date.
