Obituary	Veazie - Paula Rankin Bishop died May 10, 2024, at a local hospital with her two sons and her husband by her side. She was born in Dexter, Maine, on January 9, 1953. Paula attended Dexter Regional High School and graduated with honors in 1971. After high school Paula worked as a flight attendant with Eastern Air Lines out of Miami. In 1975, she married Stephen Bishop. They lived in Dexter, until 1990 and had two boys, Kyle, now living in Northport, Maine, and Kurt, now living in Whittier, California. In 1990, they moved to Orono, where Paula worked as a travel agent and manager at AAA Travel in Bangor. Paula enjoyed traveling, gardening and shopping. Her happiest times were when she was with her boys and their families. Paula was predeceased by her mother, Claudine Richard; and her father, Everett Rankin. She is survived by her husband, Stephen; her sons, Kyle and his wife, Laci, and Kurt and his wife, Shannon; along with her five grandchildren, Averi, Kainen, Dominic, Gavin and Lyla. She has a sister, Dianne Braun from Brewer, and her husband, William Braun; a brother, Donald Rankin and his wife, Margie, from Corinna; a sister, Kelly Rankin and her husband, Al Otto, from Montana; and several cousins and nephews.
