Obituary	LAKELAND, FLORIDA - Karen Marie Getchell Davis, 50, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 5, 2024, surround by her loving family, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. Karen was born on August 27, 1973, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine, to Charles and Joyce (Washburn) Getchell. She grew up in Dexter, Maine living there for 25 years. After graduating from Dexter Christian Academy, she continued her education, graduating from Faith School of Theology, Charleston, Maine, calls of 1994. Following graduation she married the love of her life Jason Davis on July 2nd 1994. In 1999 they moved to Florida. They enjoyed 30 wonderful years together. Everyone knew Karen as a sweet, gentle spirit with a quiet nature. She worked at Publix for 15 years. Having a heart for at-risk youth, she worked for Porch Light Ministry. She also was blessed to be a part of heart of the Father Ministry where she served in the children's ministry. Karen loved Jesus with all her heart and modeled her life after Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and no not lean on your own understanding> In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Karen was predeceased by her grandparents, Leo and Eleanor Getchell and Aimon and Nellie Washburn; sister-in-law Dawn Davis, and father-in-law Merle Robichaud. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jason Davis, parents, Charles and Joyce Getchell; brother, Robert and sister-in-law Alannah Robichaud; brother-in-law Jeremy and sister-in-law Angelene Davis and their children Nikki and Cameron, brother-in-law Joshua and sister-in-law, Faith Davis and son Joshua as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. She also leaves behind her beloved cats Louis, Lily, Nona, and Precious. A memorial service will be held for Karen on May 18, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Charleston Church, 185 Main Road, Charleston, Maine 04422. The family will meet at the Harmony Cemetery after refreshments for the committal.
