RIPLEY - Jeanette A. Clukey, born March 9th, 1952, beloved wife of 30 years to the late Philip C. Clukey, peacefully passed away on April 9th, 2024, at the age of 72 at her home in Ripley, Maine. Throughout her life, Jeanette was known for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She was a resilient dairy farmer for 30 years alongside her late husband Philip, tending to their land with dedication and fortitude. Together, they spend 20 years pursuing their shared passion for taxidermy, crafting timeless works of art that reflected their love for nature and each other. Jeanette and Philip were not only spouses but also best friends, sharing a bond that endured through the joy and challenges of life. They fulfilled their lifelong dream of traveling to Alaska together in 1999, creating cherished memories that would last a lifetime. In addition to their farming and taxidermy pursuits, Jeanette and Philip also raised and bred English Springer Spaniels, sharing a love for animals that extended to all creatures great and small. Jeanette's affection for her animals knew no bounds, and her current dog Sasha remained faithfully by her side in her final days, providing comfort and companionship until the end. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Philip, her loving father William Glidden, and her cherished mother Phyllis Glidden. Jeanette is survived by her devoted partner of 21 years, Mark Walraven, who stood by her side through life's trials and triumphs. With unwavering support and love, Mark was Jeanette's rock, her confidant, and her constant source of strength. Together, they spent the last 21 years creating cherished memories, whether it was at their camp, hunting in the woods, enjoying the company of friends, or riding 4-wheelers through the woods. They shared a bond built on shared experiences making each moment together a treasure to be cherished. in Mark, Jeanette found not only a partner, but a kindred spirit with whom she shared life's journey. Their love was a beacon of light that illuminated even the darkest of days, and their memories together will forever be etched in the fabric of their share history. As Jeanette embarks on her next adventure, she carries with her the love and warmth of the bond she shared with Mark, knowing that their love transcends time and space, and that they will be reunited once again in the eternal embrace of heaven. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family, including her sons, Scott Clukey (and wife Lisa), Rick Clukey (and wife Angie), her stepsons Mark Walraven and Billy Walraven, her brother Bruce Glidden (and wife Joanne), her sister June Clukey (and husband Jim), and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Jeanette's memory will forever be cherished by her adoring grandchildren: Chelsi Davis, Jessica Overturf, Ryan Clukey, Amber Clukey, Ashley Clukey, and Addison Clukey. She was also blessed with the joy of two great-grandchildren, Lakely Overturf and Westin Clukey, who brought endless smiles to her face. As Jeanette bids farewell to this world, we find peace in the knowing that she will awaken in the embrace of heaven, surrounded by loved ones who have gone before her. Though we mourn her passing, we take comfort in the belief that we will be reunited with her in the glorious reunion of heave, where she will await our arrival with open arms.
