Obituary
Dexter - June E. (Smith) Page, 93, passed away in her home on March 20, 2024. June was born in 1930, in Brooklyn, NY. She was born to Helen Smith (Rice) Eastman. At a very early age she moved from Brooklyn to Exeter Maine. She attended Exeter schools. She met her husband Rodney "Jake" Page in Exeter and married in May 1961. They moved to Rumford Point, Maine, for Jake's job as a teacher/principal. June worked in the Rumford School cafeteria system. Previously, June had worked at Dexter Shoe and she picked potatoes. Together they enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, riding mopeds, Sunday drives, and spending summers on lake Wassookeag in Dexter, Maine. June also had a great love of loons. Many called her Looney June. They returned to Dexter and made a permanent home on lake Wassookeag. They enjoyed living on the lake and watching their grandchildren and great-grandchildren enjoying swimming, splashing, fishing and catching crayfish. She had two daughters and two sons, Denis Dinsmore and wife, Debbie, of Scarbough, Denise Dinsmore and partner, Rhoda White, of Dexter, Karal Perry and husband, Eric, of Dexter, and Rodney "Ricky" Page II and partner, Becki St. Laurent, of Parkman; 10 grandchildren, Deanna Petrie, Kyle Dinsmore, Travis Dinsmore, Derek Dinsmore, Michael Martin, Christopher Martin, Jessica Lavoie, Jacob Lukas, Jarrett Lukas and Tres Page; many great-grandchildren; and special friend, Linda Graham. She was predeceased by her husband, Rodney "Jake" Page; her sister, Gloria Morris; and her brother, Ronald Smith. She will be laid to rest next her husband at Dexter Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Beacon Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to June. At June's request, there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dexter Sunshine Club, care of Donna Hodgkins, 327 Charleston Road, Dexter, ME 04930, would be appreciated. There will be a private family burial at a later date.
