MRS. THOMAS J. TETU Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Tetu, 57, wife of Thomas J. Tetu, who died last Friday at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a short illness, were held Monday afternoon at the home on Spring st. The Rev. Richard J. Norsworthy of the First Universalist Church officiated. Bearers were: Lewis Prey of Newport; Romeo Vigue, Albert Tempesta and Bernard Morancie, all of Dexter; Clarence Damren, Norridgewock; Wallace Grant, Madison. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mrs. Tetu was born in Plymouth Jan. 17, 1900, daughter of Joseph and Ellen Twitchel Hoit. She attended Newport High School, and for about 20 years had made her home in Dexter. She was employed in the mill of the Amos Abbott Company. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Lunt, Dover-Foxcroft; a step-daughter, Mrs. Doris Gregory, Waterville; four stepsons, Ralph Tetu of Dexter, Norman and Roger Tetu, Waterville, Leo Tetu, Concord, Mass., her father of Ellsworth; a brother, Waldo Hoit, Lowell, Mass., and several grandchildren.
