Obituary
Dexter - Antone Wayne Dupuis, 78, passed away early Thanksgiving morning, November 23, 2023, at a Bangor hospital. He was born January 29, 1945, in Plymouth, MA, a son of Antone and Dorothy (Costa) Dias. Antone's brother, Manuel, and Antone died before Tony's birth at the same time during World War II. A road in Plymouth [MA] was named Dias Road after the two of them. Arthur Dupuis, who also served in World War II, married Dorothy Dias and adopted Tony. Tony worked for L. Knife & Son in Kingston, MA, for over 48 years. He could fix or make anything. Tony loved old country music and was a big fan of Clint Eastwood. He loved deer hunting and will be truly missed at hunting camp at Emerson Acres. After Tony and his wife took early retirement they moved to their lake house in Dexter, in August 1994, where their motto was, "The way life should be." Unfortunately, it was short lived as he lost the love of his life Nola in 2002. Tony is survived by his son, Anthony and wife, Ann Dupuis, of Pembroke, MA; his daughter, Carolyn and husband, James Bestford, of Centerville, MA; 4 grandchildren, Danielle (Tim), A. J., Joshua, and MiKayla; a brother, Arthur and wife, Betty Dupuis, of Plymouth, MA; a sister, Kathy and husband, Dennis Schurmann, of Australia; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends including Jim Emerson (Sue), Monte Howard (Karen), T.J. (Michelle) and Charlie Bailey (Janet). After his wife died his friends for the last 20 years made him able to enjoy the way life should be. Also, a heartfelt thank you to his daughter-in-law, Ann, who graciously volunteered to move to Tony's home on Puffer's Pond (Echo Lake), while he was going through a difficult time so he could be at his own home. Spring interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written condolences at CrosbyNeal.com.
