Obituary	Dexter – Galen E. Sands, 84, passed away June 28, 2023, at Northern Light Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft. He was born September 9, 1938, in Dexter, the son of Carl and Julia (Clukey) Sands. He married Mary E. Deag on July 4, 1964. Galen was a member of the Corinna Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by a son, Jeffrey Sands; a grandson, Caden Billotta Sands; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his precious daughter, Lisa Marie Sands; a granddaughter, Teagan Sands; his parents; his brothers, Everett, Merle, and Ronald; and his sisters, Althea, Isabell and Ruth. Galen was above all devout Jehovah’s Witness, baptized in June of 1972. He loved telling others about the Kingdom of God soon to be ruling here on Earth where death and sickness will be no more. He will be sadly missed by many friends and loved ones who enjoyed his jokes and his dancing. Galen loved camping, canoeing, and mountain climbing with his wife and friends.
