Obituary	TROY-Cheryl Anne Braley, 71, died on February 3, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 20, 1951, in Dexter, Maine, the daughter of Kenneth and Ina (Bullard) Carter. She graduated from Dexter High School with the class of 1970 and worked for many years at Dexter Shoe. Cheryl was a loving, kind, and caring woman. She was a nature girl who enjoyed camping, hiking, and four wheeling. She loved how the moss would make a blanket on the earth. She fed the birds daily and enjoyed seeing the butterflies. She loved to travel and enjoyed a few years of being a snowbird with her husband in Florida. She was a long time member of the Church of Christ and had been attending the church in Hancock, Maine. She is survived by her husband, Wendell Braley of Troy; son, David Brayall of Auburn; daughter, Christina Brailey of Turner; two stepchildren: Scott Braley and wife Kristi of Troy and Wendy Hansen and husband Michael of Canaan; two grandsons, Tyson and Evan; nine granddaughters: Kristen, Jessie, Brandy, Denali, Marissa, Zianna-Jo (Jacob), Taylor (Luke), Andrea, and Emily (Brendan); three great-granddaughters: Lilly, Ellie, and Alyza-Jo; sister, Sandra Goodrich of Stetson; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Larry Brayall; and two sisters: Gayle Carter and Signa West. A celebration of her life will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, February 18, 2023, at the Town and Country Trail Riders Snowmobile Club, 35 Clubhouse Road, Clinton, Maine.
