Obituary
Samuel Fellows Dies After Illness Samuel J. Fellows, 69, a resident of Dexter for 43 years and engaged in the barbering profession here for a like number of years, died Tuesday evening at his home on Upper Main st. after a long illness. Funeral services will be held this Friday afternoon at two o' clock at the Crosby Funeral Home. The Rev. Richard J. Norsworthy of the First Universalist Church will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. He was born in Bangor, March 25, 1888, the son of Samuel L. and Evvie Young Fellows and received his education in the Bangor and St. Albans schools. He came to Dexter in 1914 from Guilford, and has since made his home here and owned and operated a barber shop on Main st. for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Modern Woodsmen and Penobscot Lodge No. 39, A. F. & A. M., and attended the Universalist Church. Surviving are his wife, Sadie; a son, Samuel W. Fellows, North Dexter; one brother, Frank S. Fellows of Hartland; seven grandchildren and one niece.
