Obituary	DEXTER - Lori Mower Whitney, died August 9, 2022, after a short battle with leukemia. She was born in Bangor to Harold and Claudette (Mathison) Mower. She graduated from Dexter Regional High School, then went on to St. Joseph's College to graduate with a B.S. and UMO with a Master's degree all in education. She served on many committees and boards, including President of Wings in Bangor. She served as a deacon and a moderator at her church. She enjoyed entertaining people and providing comedic relief for the family. Lori taught in Parkman, Dexter and for 20 plus years at Milo Elementary before retiring in 2010. She is survived by her husband, Robert Whitney Jr; her son, Robbie Whitney; her mother, Claudette; her sisters, Beverly and her husband, David Belcher, and Holly and her husband, Kyle Murdock; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Harold Mower. Services will be scheduled at a later date. Any donations can be made in her name to the Lafayette Family Cancer Center on Whiting Hill Road in Brewer. When you think of Lori, remember she did it her way. Published on August 15, 2022
