BANGOR - Wayne Seavey, 77, passed away peacefully July 2, 2022 at his residence in Bangor with his long time companion, Donna McIntire, by his side. He was born August 30, 1944, in Dexter, ME, son of Calvin W. and Phyllis (Brooks) Seavey. He attended schools in Newport and graduated from Dexter High School. He then went on to the University of Maine at Presque Isle, where he earned a degree in Physical Education. He taught school for many years in Massachusetts. Upon his retirement he moved back to Maine. Wayne was an avid Red Sox and N.E. Patriots fan, following the Pats to many games across the country. He is survived by his long time companion, Donna of Bangor. Also, is survived by two sons, Mark and his wife, Caroline, of Indianapolis, and Matt and his wife, Korrin, of Aurora, CO. He also had 5 grandchildren, Hadley, Maclean, Violet, Spencer and Ransom. Wayne is survived by three siblings, Elaine and husband, Walter Littlefield of Levant, Dennis and wife, Leigh, of Newport, and Michael and his wife, Linda, of Plymouth; sister-in-law, Connie Seavey of Corinna. He was predeceased by his wife, Diana; brothers, Keith of Corinna, and Deane and his wife, Barbara, of Dade City, FL. Wayne is survived by Donna's children, Lisa Reed and Troy McLaughlin; and grandchildren Emily, Gabby and Kayden. The family would like to thank Northern Light Homecare and Hospice, especially Janice, Nancy, Becca, Connie and Jen for their excellent care during Wayne's illness. In keeping with Wayne's request there will be no service. Wayne was loved and will be remembered by many. Arrangements are under the care of Downeast Direct Cremation. Published on July 6, 2022
