RIPLEY - Dorothy M. (Nutter) DuBois, 92, passed away May 20, 2022 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. She was born June 12, 1929 in St. Albans, a daughter of George and Sadie (Morrill) Nutter. Dot was an active communicant of St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Dexter, and was a member of Sodality of Our Lady, a Catholic Women's Group. She was an active member of the Sno-Devils Snowmobile Club in St. Albans, as well as the Maine Snowmobile Association. Dotty also enjoyed her time crafting, participating in Extension, as well as the Ripley Craft Class. She was employed by American Home Parties and Royal Home Parties. Dot and Emile were Baxter State Park volunteers, which they loved. She is survived by her four children and spouses, Linda and Bernard Ronco of Willow, Alaska, Emile Jr. “Andy” DuBois of Moose River, George and Cathy DuBois of Milo and Shawna and John McCue of Augusta; 6 grandchildren , Brian Ronco of Dexter, Theresa and Davide Ronco-James of Anchorage, Alaska, Michelle and Kirk Chase of Winterport, Robert DuBois of Brewer, Sherri (McCue) and Brian King of Augusta and Shaun and Carrie McCue of St. Albans; 10 great grandchildren, Laurel and Nick Foster of Calais, Ally and Ian James, both of Portland, OR, Quinten, Evangeline Rhys and Amelia James of Anchorage, AK, Nathan and Olivia Chase of Winterport and Sarah (Sadie) and Anna King of Augusta; 2 great grandchildren, Wesley and Vivian Foster of Calais and numerous nieces and nephews; 1 sister-in-law Rita (DuBois) Benoit and her daughter Phyllis of Lewiston; 1 brother-in-law Henry and Ninette DuBois of Oakland. She was predeceased by her husband Emile; son Richard; daughter-in-law Carleen DuBois; 2 brothers and spouses Walter and Hilda Nutter, Harold and Camilla Nutter; 2 sisters and spouses Arlene and Clair Lewis, Evelyn and Danny Preston; brothers and sisters-in-law Julien DuBois, Phillip Benoit, Cecile and Clem Boucher, Doris and William Ortstein. We want to give a big thank you to Hibbard’s Nursing Home Staff. Dot loved it there and she loved each of them. They took wonderful care of her. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, May 25th at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Tuesday, May 31st, at St. Anne’s Church, 64 Free Street, Dexter. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our Ladies Kitchen, P.O. Box 193, Dexter, ME 04930.
