Obituary	DEXTER - Kenneth R. Johnson 74 died Jan. 30, 2022 at a Pittsfield hospital following a short period of ill health. He was born in Dexter Oct. 9, 1947. He was raised by his father and mother Athill and and Kathless (Johnson) Wilcox. After graduation Kenny joined the Navy and served his country from 1968-1971 in the US Navy aboard the USS American. He then served an additional year in the Navy Reserve. He was married to Audrey (Thompson) for 38 years and predeceased him in Octo 2021. He loved his family and was liked by everyone who knew him. Kenny was a born again Christian and never hesitated to share his faith with anyone he came in contact with. He was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle in Dexter. He walked to church almost every day to pray for loved ones and family, and sometimes stopped along the way for coffee with a neighbor. Kenny loved sweet food, especially cake and ice cream and persians from MacDougall's Bakery and of course you have to have coffee to go with it. Kenny is survived by his stepson, Scott Richards of Bangor, his brother and wife, Tim and Linda Wilcox of Boothbay, his brother-in-law, Dale Thompson of Dexter, his aunt Carolyn Brown of North Dexter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife Audrey, his stepson Bruce Richards, and several aunts and uncles. Kenny was a sweet soul and will be missed greatly by family, friends and neighbors. Love you Kenny, see you in Heaven. Your family. Memorial services will be held in the spring and will be announced when the weather is good and hopefully friends and family can get together safely.
