DEXTER - Lois I. Reed, 86, Lois Irene (Worster) Reed was born August 4, 1935, in Lee, to Erastus and Bessie Worster. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 3, 2022, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital after a brief Covid-19 illness. She was a graduate of Lee Academy, class of 1953. She married Cecil L. Reed on May 2, 1970, and they moved to Dexter in 1974. They celebrated 50 years of marriage (Covid-style) in 2020. They have two daughters, Stacey and Susan; and two lovely granddaughters, Emily and Abigail. Lois loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Lois worked for many years as a teller at Key Bank in Dexter before retiring in 2000. Through this job, she knew many people and enjoyed providing helpful customer service to everyone. She was an active member of Dexter's Sunshine Club and a poll worker for the town. She served as a volunteer for many activities of the Dexter Sunrise Kiwanis. Lois had the gift of hospitality, hosting many guests for meals and fellowship over the years. At the time of her death, she was attending the Church of Faith in Skowhegan. Lois enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy!, doing puzzles, reading, and scrolling through Facebook daily for updates on family and friends. Lois also loved cats, having cared for many feline companions over the years. Lois was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Reed; her parents, Erastus and Bessie Worster; and a brother, Kenneth Worster. She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan Reed Page of Dexter and Stacey Reed Barker and husband, Jeffrey, of New York; two granddaughters, Emily Barker and Abigail Barker; her brother, Cecil Worster of Franklin, New Hampshire; her sister-in-law, Glenice Leavitt of Arkansas; several nieces and nephews and their families; and many, many friends.
