Obituary	ORONO - Richard Fernald Goulette, 83, passed away on 10-25-19 in Orono at his current residence, Dirigo Pines Retirement Community. He was born 11-17-35 in Dexter, Maine, son of Fernald and Blanche Goulette. He was married to Patricia Albano-Goulette for 19 years. Richard graduated from Dexter High School in 1954. He was very active in all sports and activities. He graduated from Boston University in 1958, continuing on to receive his Master's degree through the University of Maine. He spent 37 years teaching earth science in the Port Jefferson, New York school district at the high school. After retirement, Richard and his wife Pat were active in training search and rescue dogs in Colorado and Wyoming. Eventually, they moved back to Maine, residing in Rockport and Dexter. Richard enjoyed spending his summers at the family camp on Lake Wassookeag in Dexter. Richard is survived by his children Greg(Julie) Goulette; Beth(Al) Paredes; grandchildren Ashley, Normand, Roger, Alyssa, Tyler, Heather, Brady, Camryn and Austin; great grandson Joseph; sisters Joanne Lutz and Elaine Goulette. The family would like to thank the staff at Dirigo Pines in Orono, as well as Beacon Hospice, for their wonderful care. They will greatly miss his sense of humor and his stories. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 1st at 11am at St Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter. A burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetary in Dexter.
