CAMBRIDGE AND RIPLEY - Edward Gerry Farrar, 90, died February 18, 2020, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born February 28, 1929, in Ripley, a son of Edward R. and Emma (Gerry) Farrar. He graduated from N. H. Fay High School and married the former Evelyn Noble on June 23, 1951. They owned and operated the Shurfine Grocery Store in Dexter for nearly nine years. He was a member of Cambridge Lodge Masons and the Almeda Chapter O.E.S. of Guilford. He attended the Cambridge Baptist Church. Edward was also active in the Grange. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael and wife, Lori Farrar of St. Albans; a daughter, Cynthia and husband, Reginald Page of Abbot; a daughter-in-law, Linda Roberts of Corinna; a brother, David and wife, Carol Farrar of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Richard. Graveside committal services will be held at the West Ripley Cemetery in the spring. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
