Obituary	WILLIAM G. STONE Funeral services were held at the Crosby Funeral Parlors in Dexter for William G. Stone, 82, who died at a Dexter Convalescent Home after a long period of ill health. The Rev. Howard Benson, pastor of the Dexter Methodist Church, officiated. Bearers were Fred Rollins, Donald Colbath, Edward Scott and George Guptil. Burial will be at the Evergreen Cemetery in Garland in the spring. Mr. Stone was born in Garland May 31, 1874, the son of William H. and Mary Gillard Stone. He was a lifelong resident of Garland and a farmer by occupation. He was a Golden Sheaf member of Garland Grange of which he had been a member for over 60 years. For several years, and until less than a week before his death, he derived much pleasure from making telephone calls from his home to numerous friends. Survivors are his widow, Elizabeth Bridges Stone; two sons, David of Gibsonia, Pa., and Ernest of Garland; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Farrar of Dexter and Mrs. Bernice Hollis of Exeter; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
