Obituary
EDWARD S. DAVIS Edward S. Davis, 63, died suddenly Wednesday morning at the Fayscott Corporation soon after starting his day's work at the plant where he had been employed since 1919. The remains are at his home on Free street. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 p. m. at the Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. Walter B. Wakeman of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery next spring. He was born April 29, 1893 at St. Stephen, N. B., the son of Edward and Cora (Stinson) Davis. The Davises came to Dexter from Massachusetts in 1919 and he began working at the machine shop, then known as Fay and Scott. A former member of the Odd Fellows, he was a past noble grand of the Presque Isle lodge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Marston Davis; two sisters, Mrs. Georgie Boone and Miss Edna Davis, both of St. Stephen, N. B., one brother, Ernest W. Davis of Canton, Ohio; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
