Obituary	DEXTER - Joyce Wark, 88, died peacefully December 18, 2020, at an Orono healthcare facility, after a brief illness. She was born May 29, 1932, in Bethel, Maine to Orrin and Daisy Taylor, the ninth of ten children. Joyce spent most of her life in Dexter. As a young woman, she was employed at Dexter Shoe Company, where she met her late husband, Richard Wark. Later in life, they owned and operated a small convenience store in Dexter where Joyce enjoyed greeting their daily customers. Joyce and Richard were married for 40 years, until his death in 2002. They had two daughters and four grandchildren, whom they loved beyond measure. Joyce made it to almost every event in which her grandchildren participated. She was their biggest fan and would proudly share their accomplishments with everyone. Those who had the chance to meet Joyce know that her warmth and kindness were what made her such a special person. Her grandchildren will always remember her as the best grammy ever, and her daughters as the most incredible mom ever. No matter her age, she always reminded family and friends that she "will never be old". This remained true through the end. She is survived by her daughters, Jane McKenney of Portland, Susan Belanger and husband, Jeff of Dexter; grandchildren, Maddy McKenney, Grace Belanger, Dustin Belanger, Hunter Belanger; very special niece, Cindy Rossow and husband, Carl of Denver, and their children, Hannah and Jake; her sister and best friend, Evelyn Page and husband, Gil of Bangor; many nieces and nephews.
