Obituary	DEXTER - Geraldine Mountain, 87, was received by the Lord on October 21, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 13, 1932, in Dover-Foxcroft, a daughter of Lewis and Elizabeth (Hart) Jackson. Geraldine was a Notary Public and Dedimus Justice for over 30 years. She received a Director Emeritus Status award and was the first member of the Informed Notary of Maine. She was on the Dexter Planning Board for decades. Geraldine was the owner of numerous businesses including a snack bar, grocery store, car business, restaurant manager/cook, apartment buildings, dog grooming, and cake decorating. She also worked briefly as a leather cutter at Dexter Shoe Company. Geraldine had a love for reading, sewing, crocheting, and knitting sharing her talents with her daughters and granddaughters. She enjoyed playing cards and games for hours with family and friends. She loved spending special time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a great love of cooking for her family and sharing her unique recipes with others. For many years she and her husband enjoyed being members of the Lords and Ladies Square Dancing Club. Geraldine was a practicing Catholic and taught CCD at St. Annes Church for many years. Geraldine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. We were blessed to have her in our lives. She will be missed dearly. Geraldine is survived by daughter, Irene Ellis, and husband, Robert; sons, Raymond Mountain, Jr. and wife, Sharon, and Timothy Mountain and wife, Debra; daughter, Elizabeth Perkins; grandchildren, Nicholas, Michael, Matthew, Melissa, Hillary, Jason, David, Brooke, Cristina, Catherina, and Darci along with 13 great-grandchildren who she loved so very much; brother, Gerald Jackson; brother-in-law Issac Goodrow; son-in-law Barry Clukey; many special nieces, nephews, and close friends. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Mountain, Sr.; daughter Rosalie Clukey; sisters, Gertrude, Effie, Louise, Phyllis, and Margaret. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter from 4 to 6 P.M., Monday, October 26th following CDC guidelines. Face covering and social distancing will be observed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 27 at St. Annes Church, Dexter. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
