Services Held For Clarence Hanson Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home in Dexter for Clarence E. Hanson, 69, who died suddenly last Thursday in Exeter. The Rev. Marian Foster of Attleboro, Mass., close friend of the family, officiated. Bearers were: Robert Hammond, Exeter; Raynor Crosman, Corinna; Merle Green and Philip Hayden, Parkman; Burnes Nelson, St. Albans; and Clinton Ward, Bangor. Burial was in the Ripley Village Cemetery. He was born in Ripley, Oct. 28, 1886 son of Charles E. and Medora (Farrar) Hanson. The greater part of his life was spent in the Dexter-Parkman area where he was a dealer in livestock. Besides his wife, Maude Foss Hanson, of Parkman, he is survived by two sons, Levi and Joseph of Dexter; three daughters, Mrs. Dana Blanche (Hildrith) of Augusta, Mrs. Wanna Thorndike (Pauline) of Milford, Conn., and Mrs. Horace Landry (Geraldine) of Southbridge, Mass., one sister, Mrs. Carrie Vining, Dexter; two brothers, Victor of Dexter and Fred of Mars Hill; 17 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Members of the immediate family here for the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Dana Blanche and Frances, Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Wanna Thorndike, Milford, Conn., Mr. and Mrs. Horace Landry, Southbridge, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Corson, Madison; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hanson, Mars Hill; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hanson, Presque Isle.
