Obituary	Donna Elaine Lagasse, 80 of Dexter passed away peacefully at Dexter Healthcare on June 22, 2019. She was born in Augusta, ME on July 7th, 1938 to Harold and Blanche (Watts) Crawford. She spent her younger years on Crawford Island in Dexter, ME. She graduated from Beverly HS, Beverly MA. She continued her education at Husson College. She married her beloved husband James on October 25 1958. The couple owned and operated Jims IGA in Dexter for many years. She was and avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan she spent hours playing solitaire and watching Wheel of Fortune. She is survived by her husband James, children Karen Sauls and husband Terry from Villa Rica, GA, son Mark Lagasse and wife Wendie from Glenburn, daughter Gail and husband Jay Jewett of Dexter and daughter Beth Lagasse from Patten, ME. Her grandchildren, the joys of her life Sara Lagasse of Sunnyvaile CA, Kody Chase and wife Danielle of Monroe LA, Brad Chase and wife Cassandra of Clinton ME, Danielle Lagasse of Gorham ME, Lucas Jewett and his significant other Kate Myers of Dexter. Great grandchildren Kaelyn Marie Chase of Clinton ME, Adelaide Hart Chase of Monroe LA. She is also survived by sister-in-laws Retha and Barbara Crawford and brother-in-law Ditson Welch along with many nieces and nephews. She is survived by sister-in-law Connie St. Louis of Old Town, ME and Elda Lagaase of Dexter and lifelong friends AJ and Amy Morin of old Town, ME. She was predeceased by brothers Charles and Robert Crawford and Sister Elizabeth Welch & grandson Kyle Chase. Friends and Family are invited to a graveside service on June 29th at 1PM at Mt Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter ME. There will be a celebration of Life after graveside services at 1 Jewett Drive, Dexter. Due to her affection for Cats, especially Boo, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local Humane Society.
