Obituary	Funeral services for the late Charles H. Batchelder were held from the home of the family on the North Dexter road Sunday afternoon, Rev. E. M. Trafton, pastor of the free Baptist church officiating. The remains were taken to Lewiston Monday morning for burial. Mr. Batchelder was a native of Garland and was a carpenter by trade having been in the business in Troy, ME, and in Malden, Mass. For many years he has made his home on the Batchelder Farm. He was a member of the Free Baptist Church and was a man who enjoyed the friendship and respect of a large number of friends. He is survived by his widow and by one daughter, Mrs. Ralph Gordon of this town.
