She was educated in the Corinna schools and at the age of twenty-four became the wife of Ernest L. Sevey of Ripley. They lived on a large farm in the Fisher District of Corinna for many years, and here most of their children were born. In 1911, they removed to Ripley and occupied the Sevey homestead, where Mr. Sevey carried on an extensive lumber and wood business. Later, they lived with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Howard L. Jackson at their home on the Dover Road in Dexter. Recently they have spent some time in the homes of two of their sons, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Sevey and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Sevey of Ripley. She is survived by her husband and the following children: John L. Sevey, Roy E. Sevey, Myra L. Jackson, Dorothy H. Young, Charles E. Sevey, Albert L. Sevey, Elmer L. Sevey and twenty-two grandchildren. She was a member of the Baptist church for sixty years. Funeral services were conducted by Rev, J. K. Halliday at two o'clock on Wednesday at the home of Rodney A.
