Obituary
David Paul Badger, 60, passed away March 7, 2O19 at a Pittsfield hospital surrounded by family and friends. After an admirable battle with lung and liver cancer, he proved his immense love for his family and strong will by surviving longer than expected until he could say goodbye to his loved ones David was born August 7, 1958, in Dexter, a son of Dr. Ralph and Vonetta (Vincent) Badger. He graduated from Dexter Regional High School, Class of 1976 and was a talented artist and musician who always took his own road through life. David would be considered a modern day Renaissance man as he had many talents and areas of knowledge. He could fit in with any environment, was very gifted musically, loved nature, was very artistic and loved sharing these gifts with his family and many friends. We are all the better for having known this charming, blue-eyed man with the gentle soul. He is survived by 2 children, his loving daughter Amanda Badger of San Diego, CA, and his son Adam Badger and his family of Pittsfield; his brother and rock, Dr. Peter Badger and hls wife Alicia Badger of Tailahassee, FL. He leaves behind a sister Sandy Badger of Crystal River, FL and two cousins Nancy Meehan and Paula Doughty. He is also survived try his step brothers Mike and Andy Kuvent; a step sister Lisa Kramer; and his step mother Judith T. Badger He will also be remembered by his childhood best friends Lance Stewart and Cecil "Zeke" Scott, and Karen Ryan, who was his friend and cared for him throughout his end of life. Finally, David is survived by his little buddy, Lucy, dog who he loved with his whole heart. The Badger family would love to give a heartfelt thanks to al1 the doctors, nurses, family and friends who gave David such loving care. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In place of a funeral, the Badger family would encourage friends to gather and share stories of David, enjoy playing music, or take a walk in nature. In lieu of flowers, we encourage donations in Davids memory to the humane society as he had a great love for animals. His family will be spreading his ashes at his favorite waterfall and hiking trails in northern Maine. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
