Obituary
Vivian Perkins, 86, died August 26,2017 at her daughter and son in laws Exeter residence. She was born March 21, 1931 in Exeter, a daughter of Homer and Josephine (Reynolds) Parker. She worked at Dexter Shoe for m?any years and also drove a school bus for the Dexter school system for many years. She was a member of the Charleston Church and belonged to several senior citizens clubs. Vivian enjoyed knitting hats for premature babies and making quilts for Mayo Regional Hospital. She also made many mittens for her many grandchildren and enjoyed dancing and playing cards. She also enjoyed gallivanting and going out to dinner. She is survived by 4 daughters: Estelle and husband Monty Rowe of Corinth, Julie Washington of Dexter, Lisa Pelletier of Passadumkeag, and Mary and husband Ron Sweet of Exeter; 21 grandchildren; 2l great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. Vivian was predeceased by her first husband Clayton Ambrose, 2 brothers, Vertner and Ernest Smith, a daughter, Susan and husband Carroll Emery, a grandson Joseph Sweet, and a great grandson Mason Barriault. The family would like to thank all of the hospice workers who made her as comfortable as possible and assisted them in her final days. Funeral services were held August 30th, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, with Pastor Matthew Ward officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
