MRS. TAYLOR K. EDES Mrs. Mildred Edes, 81, of Winter Park, Fla., widow of Taylor K. Edes, died Tuesday, July 31, in a Florida nursing home after a long illness. A resident of Dexter for many years prior to moving to Florida about six years ago, Mrs. Edes carried on Edes Brothers, a dry goods business here, for a number of years following the death of her husband. She was born at North Guilford, August 18 1874, the daughter of Columbus W. and Clara Cobb Ellis. She was a member of Rebecca Weston Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Dexter; a past president of the Mayflower Society; former member of the Sunshine Club and Book and Thimble Club of this town, and a member of the First Universalist Church, Dexter. She is survived by two daughters Mrs. Thomas Hamer of Winter Park, Fla., and Mrs. Maurice Dennison, Orlando, Fla., one stepson, Omar K. Edes, Newton Highlands, Mass., one step-daughter, Mrs. Edwin C. Call, Dexter; one brother, Merton Ellis, Pocasset, Mass., four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the First Universalist Church of Dexter, Sunday at 2 p. m. The Rev. Richard J. Norseworthy will officiate.
