Obituary
Virginia "Ginny" Ellms, 89, died February 11, 2018 at a Dexter health care facility. She was born December 30, 1928, in Dexter, a daughter of Chester and Gertrude (Stone) Farrar. She graduated from N. H. Fay High School in Dexter and served many years as head secretary for the Dexter school system, at N. H. Fay and later, the middle school. She also operated and owned 2 school buses, and was co-owner of C. M. Ellms & Son Contractors until 1991. She was a member of the Ripley United Methodist Church, Ripley Grange, Ripley Ladies Aid, and the Sno-Devils Snowmobile Club. She enjoyed her camp on Ripley Pond, dining, traveling and snowmobiling. She is survived by a son Chuck Ellms and wife Kim, daughter Peg Taylor and husband Harry; 3 grandchildren, Mary Ellms and husband Joe Musumeci, Mitch Taylor and wife Michelle, Kirk Taylor and wife Katie; 6 great grandchildren, Hunter, Maddie, Adam, Kendall, Lilly and Colton; a brother Rodney Farrar and wife Rita; several nieces and nephews and their families. Ginny was predeceased by her husband Charles M. "Bud" Ellms, Jr. and an infant son Montie. A spring graveside funeral and committal service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
