Obituary	Beatrice "Betty" Howard, 99, passed away peacefully at her nephews residence (Barry and Mary Higgins) in Charleston on October 16,2017 with loving family at her side. She was born January 10, 1918 in Bradford, to Eugene and Annie (Cunningham) Duran. She was the oldest of three daughters. Betty graduated from Bradford High School and worked as a long-time clerk at Renys Department Store in Dexter. She was a great seamstress, loved photography, her flowers, beano, the Red Sox and a good chuckle. She was a very pleasant person who was loved by all who knew her. She loved all her nieces and nephews and had many good friends. The family fondly remembers the family reunions, holidays and celebrations we all shared with her. She was predeceased by her husband Ardel "Pud" in 1969 and by her sisters Madeline Tasker and Margaret Higgins. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Elaine Scott and John Gamble, Maxine and Frank Storozyszyn, Brian and Wendy Tasker, Cheryl "Sherry" and Ross Bradford, Carroll and Sharon Higgins, Barry and Mary Higgins; great nieces and nephews, Mary Scott, Blaine Scott, Rhonda & Phil Graziosi, Keith & Missy tasker, David & Danielle Tasker,Paige Tasker, Bradley & Katie-Tasker, Synclaire Tasker, Kyle & Brittany Bradford, Brock & Shelby Bradford, Brett & Monica Bradford, Tracy & Steve Segenchuk, Scott & Linda Higgins, Amy & Mike Bishop, Barry "BJ" & Randa Higgins Jr, She was also survived by 26 great great nieces and nephews and she loved us all. She will be remembered by special friends Shawna Doyle, Roberta Scott, Heather Wilcox, Wayne & Carla Bishop and Robert Cunningham. A graveside committal service was held October 24, 2017 at Mt Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Matthew Ward officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Sunshine Club, c./o Mrs. Nancy Baldwin, 59 Acadia St. Dexter, ME 04930. A service to celebrate Aunt Bettys life will be held 1 pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Charleston Community Center on the School Rd in Charleston.
