Obituary	DEXTER - James M. Roach, Jr., 61, passed away at his home in Dexter on Tuesday, March 28, 2017. He was born November 3, 1955 in Opelika, AL, but grew up in Vernon, CT. He was the son of James and Jeannette (Botteron) Roach of Manchester, CT. He attended Rockville High School where he lettered in football and baseball. He was a member of Ironworkers Local # 15. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 3 children, Amy Roach of Manchester, CT, Kyle and Michael Roach, both of Dexter; 3 brothers, Mark Roach of Dexter, John Roach of Moscow, ID, Tom Roach of Pittsburgh, PA; and a sister Kathy Jordan of Lebanon, CT. He is also survived by his longtime partner, Jane Connor; her children Matt and Jill Connor, all of Dexter; 5 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visiting hours will be held from 9 to 11 AM Friday, April 7 at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street Manchester, CT. A graveside service will follow at Saint James Cemetery, 360 Broad Street Manchester, CT. Local arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
