Obituary
DEXTER - Harry Norman Day, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 13, 2016. He was born April 22, 1930 in Cambridge, a son of Aldo and Edith (Call) Day. Harry was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church and looked forward to being with his Lord and Savior. He was employed for many years in textiles, mostly at the Amos Abbott Mill in Dexter as the dye house manager. He later worked in the maintenance department at the Dexter Shoe Company. Harry enjoyed his retirement watching his grand kids grow up and was very proud of them all. He also enjoyed growing a big garden alongside his two brothers, John and Llewellyn. He loved spending time outdoors enjoying Gods creations while he was fishing, bird and deer hunting; which he truly looked forward to every fall. Harry is survived by his wife of 65 years, Joanne (Knowles) Day; 3 sons, Bruce and wife Vicki of St. Albans, Brent and wife Kathy of Dexter, and Robert Day of Swansville; a brother, John Day of Dexter; 2 very special nieces, Mary Willey and Jane Huggins; his grandchildren, Kim House, Amy Morin, Donny, Spencer, Nick, Matt, Eric and Katie Day; and a son in law, Richard Hunt. He was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Hunt; 2 grandsons, Travis and Christopher Day; a brother, Llewellyn Day; and a sister in law, Pat Day. Per Harrys request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter. Those who wish may leave written tributes at www.CrosbyNeal.com
