Obituary	Ray Cecil Shute, 82, died Sunday at his sons residence in St. Albans. He was born in Canada Sept. 4, 1884. His early years were spent in Smyrna Mills until 1938 when he moved to St. Albans area. He is survived by two daughters, Camila of St. Albans, Virginia Hughes of Watertown, Conn., three sons, Rodney Shute of Connecticut, Donald Hewins of Newport, Walter Hewins of Hartland; a sister, Perl Cameron of Manchester, N.H.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Crosby Home, Dexter. The Rev. Gordon Parlin of the Methodist officiated. Burial was in Ferndale Cemetery in Ripley.
