Obituary
Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Ripley Methodist Church for 12-year old Margaret Nutter, who died Saturday morning of accidental downing at Lake Wassookeag, Dexter Daughter of Harold Nutter of St. Albans and Dorothy (Tewksburg) Hutchins of Ripley, the youth drowned at the Fish and Game Association Beach shortly before 10a.m. when she made an attempt to retrieve an air mattress which slipped off a float. The Nutter girl was born at Dexter, July 18, 1954 and attended the Courser Memorial Elementary School at Ripley and the Ripley Methodist Church, where she was a choir member. She belonged to the Ripley 4-HClub and Grange Survivors are her parents; three brothers, Tommy, Henry and David Nutter and four half-sisters, Charlotte Hutchins of Ripley, and Helen, Holli and Bonnie Nutter, St. Albans; her paternal grandmother Mrs. Sadie Nutter, Ripley; maternal grandmother, Mrs. Beatrice Phillips, Oakland; a grandfather, Roy Sevey, Corinna and a maternal great grandmother, Lilllie Tewksbury, Ripley; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Burial was in the Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley.
