Obituary	Mrs. N. C. Bucknam Dies At Age Of 76 Mrs. Helen (Abbott) Bucknam, 76, wife of Nathan C. Bucknam of this town died Wednesday afternoon at the Plummer Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She was born here Dec. 12, 1879, the daughter of Job and Amanda (Field) Abbott and had been a life-long resident of Dexter. She graduated from Dexter high school, Westbrook Seminary and Lasell Junior College. For a number of years she had piano and organ pupils in Dexter and Corinna. Mrs. Bucknam was one of the founders of the Sunshine Club in this town, and was keenly interested in its work. She was a member of the First Universalist Church and a former member of the Dexter Woman's Literary Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Carleton A. of Dexter; Nathan A., Suffern, N. Y., Robert F., Denver, Col., and Gilbert of Nashua, N. H., 12 grandchildren and a nephew, Jere Abbott, of this town. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. on Saturday at the residence on Church street. Officiating will be the Rev. Stanley Gates Spear of Beverly, Mass., a former member of the Dexter Universalist Church. The Sunshine Club will attend in a body. Remains are at the Crosby Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 p. m. and 7 to 9 p. m. until Saturday noon. Interment will be in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Dexter.
