Obituary
Stanton S. Sawyer, 55, died unexpectedly February 3, 1987 at his home. He was born in Ripley January 26, 1932, th son of Othie and Maude (Rosch) Sawyer. He was educated in Ripley schools and worked in Skowhegan and Harmony she factories. For the past 20 years he was employed at Dexter Shoe factory. He served in the Army in Japan during thethe Korean War and was a past master of Ripley Grange. He is survived by two sons, Howard of Ripley and Billy of Saco; three brothers, Harold, Richard and Arnold all of Ripley; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ralph of Ripley and Maurice of St. Albans. Funeral services will be held at the Crosby Funeral Home, Dexter, on Thursday. February 5, at 2 p.m. Friends, may call Wednesday evening 7-9 p.m. Spring interment will be at the West Ripley Cemetery. Friends wishing may make contributions to the Ripley United Methodist Church.
