Obituary	Mrs. Vesta Wakefield, 87, died at a Waterville hospital April 18 after a long illness. She was born in Ripley ay 5, 1892, daughter of Edward and Abbie Raymond Farrar. She had been making her home with her son for the past seven years. She attended the Methodist Church and taught schools for several years. She was a member of the Ripley Grange for over 65 years and held many offices in her order. She is survived by her husband, John Wakefield, a son, Daniel C. Wakefield and a brother, E. Ray Farrar all of Ripley; two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held April 21 at the Crosby Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Marshall of Camden officiating. Interment will be at The Ferndale Cemetery in Ripley
