Obituary	FRED G. NEAL Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon March 29, at the Crosby Funeral Home at Dexter for Fred Garfield Neal, 82, former resident of Ripley, who died the previous Thursday at a Portland nursing home after a long period of falling health. The Rev. Gordon F. Parlin of the Dexter Methodist Church officiated. Spring burial will be in Ferndale Cemetery, Ripley. He was born at Ripley, Jan. 27, 1882, son of Charles G. and Mary (McCurdy) Neal. All of his early life was spent in Ripley, but the past 20 years he had been a resident of Portland and spent the greater part of his time s a lay minister of the Methodist Church. He is survived by several cousins.
